We want EnvironmentalShortcut to be usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, voice control or other assistive technology.
1. Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. We check pages with automated tests and by keyboard before release, and we fix problems we find as part of ordinary releases.
2. What we have done
Pages use headings, landmarks and labelled form fields; links and controls can be reached by keyboard and show a visible focus outline; images carry text alternatives; impact levels and statuses are written out in words, not shown by colour alone; animation stops when your device asks for reduced motion; text is at least 12 pixels and meets contrast minimums; and pages adapt to small screens, where stand-alone links and buttons are at least 24 pixels tall.
We have not yet had an independent accessibility audit. We will publish its findings and our plan when we do.
3. Known limitations and other formats
The map view is visual, and on a phone each county on it is a small target. The same counties are listed as text on the Places page, the same briefings on the Briefings and state pages, and screening results on each project page.
Some linked government documents, map services and the payment pages run by our payment processor are outside our control. If you need any of our content, or help with a linked document, in another format, ask and we will provide it.
4. Contact us
If something on the site does not work for you, email legal@environmentalshortcut.com with the page and what happened, or write to [Company legal name], [Street address, City, State ZIP]. We aim to reply within two business days and, where we cannot fix a problem quickly, to give you the information another way.
